Terms of service

These terms cover your use of LanternReel, a video creation and publishing tool operated by Blerc Pty Ltd ("we", "us") in Melbourne, Australia. By using the app you agree to them.

1. What LanternReel does

LanternReel generates videos with the help of AI services, and can schedule and publish those videos to social platforms on accounts you connect. It is a tool. You direct it, and you are the publisher of everything it produces for you.

2. Your accounts and connections

You may only connect platform accounts you own or are authorised to manage. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for everything posted from your connected accounts through the app. When you connect YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service; the equivalent terms of TikTok and Instagram apply to those connections.

3. Your content

You own the videos and copy the app produces for you, to the extent we hold any rights in them, and we claim no ownership over your channels. You are responsible for making sure your content is lawful, does not infringe anyone's rights, and follows the rules of each platform you publish to, including disclosure rules for AI-generated and kids' content where they apply.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use LanternReel to create or publish content that is illegal, deceptive, hateful or harassing, that impersonates real people, or that is designed to mislead (including fabricated news presented as fact). Don't attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the service. We can suspend access that breaches these terms.

5. Third-party services

The app relies on third-party services to work, including AI providers for research, scripts, voices and images, and the platforms you publish to. Those services have their own terms, and outages or changes on their side can affect the app. We are not responsible for third-party services.

6. Service availability

LanternReel is under active development. Features can change, and we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We will be sensible about changes that affect you.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The app is provided as is. AI-generated content can contain mistakes, so review what you publish. To the maximum extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Ending use

You can stop using the app and disconnect your accounts at any time. We can suspend or end access for breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as liability and content responsibility) survive.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and disputes belong to the courts of Victoria.
